What does deduction work cost your team?

Start with the recurring review effort. Use your own case volume, handling time and labor cost to estimate the workload before evaluating a different process.

Sample assumptions are editable. Inputs stay in this browser and are not sent to Safa.

Estimated monthly review cost$2,000

50 review hours per month
$24,000 annualized labor cost

This is workload cost, not recoverable cash or promised software savings.

The calculation.

Monthly review hours = deductions per month × minutes per deduction ÷ 60. Monthly labor cost = review hours × fully loaded hourly cost. Annualized cost = monthly cost × 12.

What this leaves out.

This simple estimate excludes software fees, specialist retainers, implementation, historical backlog work and the value of any financial adjustment. It also excludes differences in case complexity. Use representative averages or calculate separate groups.

Cost is not the same as savings.

A different workflow still has review, software and operating costs. Compare the full cost and correctness across the same workload. Do not assume that every deduction can be recovered or that every review hour disappears.
